Celemony Software GmbH (hereinafter referred to as Celemony) treats your data confidentially and uses them exclusively to ensure that you can use your Celemony products easily, efficiently and tailored to your requirements. Celemony informs you below of the context in which your data are collected, which data are collected and the purpose for which they are used by Celemony.

 

§ 1 Data for your myCelemony profile

 

When purchasing online or registering Celemony products online, you will be asked to provide certain personal details (e.g. surname, place of residence, email address), or to log in as an already registered Celemony user. The purpose of compiling such data is to implement the contract concluded with you. Providing your email address is, for example, required to confirm serial numbers, to retrieve forgotten passwords or to send proforma invoices.

 

All data entered by you during an order or registration process are transmitted in encrypted form via an SSL server.

 

Your details are stored in your personal myCelemony profile. Through your myCelemony profile, your licences and customer data are conveniently available at a glance and you will receive updates for your Celemony products. You can access your myCelemony profile at any time and modify your details. Third parties cannot view your myCelemony profile.

 

§ 2 Payment data

 

If you pay by credit card, the data you provide when making payment on the internet (card number, card holder, validity, verification number) are forwarded directly to our payment service provider. Celemony does not store this data itself. Such data are, of course, also collected and transmitted via an encrypted SSL server and are used solely for processing payments.

 

§ 3 Collection of technical data during registration and update check

 

To enable you to use your Celemony product, you have to register the product. If you register online, your Celemony product will be automatically identified by our servers.

 

To ensure that your Celemony product is fully functional and further development of Celemony products meet user requirements, specific information concerning the hardware and software configuration of your work environment will be transmitted to Celemony.

 

Such data will also be collected automatically during each update check. You can determine the frequency of the update check in the program preferences of your Celemony product. You can also completely deactivate the update check there.

 

§ 4 Technical support

 

Celemony’s technical support stores all contacts to enhance the speed and quality in responding to your support queries.

 

§ 5 Newsletter

 

If you have agreed to receive the Celemony newsletter, you will regularly receive up-to-date information about Celemony products and activities by email. Your myCelemony profile allows you to limit the content of the newsletter to topics relating to the Celemony products you have purchased, and you can, of course, unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time. To do so, you just have to select the corresponding newsletter option in your myCelemony profile and then save your changes. You can also unsubscribe to the newsletter via the link at the end of each Celemony newsletter.

 

§ 6 User forum

 

The Celemony website also contains the so-called user forum. This English-speaking online forum allows users of Celemony products to exchange information with other users and ask questions.

 

Your attention is expressly drawn to the fact that the user forum is not part of the official Celemony support: Celemony assumes no responsibility whatsoever for content posted in the user forum, in particular not for the functioning of any procedures described in the forum to solve problems when using Celemony products. Therefore, Celemony is not liable for damages incurred by following such proposed solutions.

 

To participate in forum discussions, you need to register for the forum separately. To do so, you have to accept the conditions of use of the forum and privacy policy.

 

You do not need to log in to read the forum content.

 

§ 7 Content of third party providers

 

Celemony groups resp. profiles are available on the websites of some third party providers whose users can publish their own content relating to Celemony products (e.g. tracks or comments). Celemony makes explicit reference to the conditions of use (incl. the corresponding privacy policy) applicable to the respective third party providers. Celemony is not responsible for the content published by users on these websites and in particular does not endorse this content.

 

§ 8 Cookies & Google Analytics

 

The web-analysis service “Google Analytics” provided by Google Inc. is used on Celemony’s website and also the Celemony web shop. Please note the following:

 

This website features Google Analytics, a web-analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies” that are stored on your (i.e. the user’s) computer. “Cookies” allow us to analyze your use of our website. The cookie-generated data regarding your use of this website will generally be forwarded to a Google server in the U.S. and stored there. In case of activation of the IP anonymization on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to a Google server in the USA and is shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other with website and internet related services to the site operator.

 

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other data held by Google. You may block the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. Please note, however, that this may prevent you from using the website’s full range of features. Furthermore you may prevent the collection and processing of cookie-generated data regarding your use of this website (including your IP address) by Google by downloading this browser plugin and installing it:

Cookies are also used to a limited extent to make navigation of the Celemony website more convenient. These cookies allow, for example, permanent login and to retain selected settings automatically e.g. with regard to window size, zoom factor, chosen language. These cookies too can be deactivated by settings on your browser. This may, however, prevent you from using the full range of features of the Celemony website.

 

§ 9 Right to correction and deletion, information

 

According to the Bundesdatenschutzgesetz [German Data Protection Act], you have the right, under certain conditions, to correction and deletion of data relating to yourself stored by Celemony. Furthermore, you also have a right to free information about such data. To assert these rights, please contact Celemony Software GmbH, Valleystrasse 25, 81371 Munich, Germany, in writing, stating the precise nature of the data about which you require information. As proof of your identity, please enclose a copy of your personal identity card. Please note that no information can be provided over the telephone for security reasons.
