Melodyne editor was newly developed from the ground up, is built on a modern and very powerful software infrastructure, and boasts a whole series of important advantages over Melodyne plugin:

• DNA Direct Note Access. Our unique technology that allows you to edit notes in polyphonic audio material.
• With the new Version 1.1, further improved sound quality with monophonic material – the best-sounding Melodyne vocal editing of all time.
• Copy/Paste: You can now copy notes with complete freedom, even overlapping or superimposed – perfect for the creation of intervals and doubling!
• New zoom functions, local playback in the host, an additional stand-alone version offering MIDI export and much more.
• an import function for Melodyne plugin projects – you can pick up with Melodyne editor exactly where you left off with Melodyne plugin.

If you registered your copy of Melodyne plugin for the first time before the 12th March 2008, the update to Melodyne editor costs 129 US$ or 129 Euros. For all first registrations after the 12th March 2008, the update is free.

If your Melodyne plugin is part of a Melodyne studio bundle, the same conditions and prices apply.

Successor: Melodyne essential RTAS

Melodyne essential RTAS was newly developed from the ground up, is built on a modern and very powerful software infrastructure, and has a whole series of important advantages over Melodyne essential:

• Melodyne essential RTAS operates as a plug-in – directly inside your Pro Tools. No more detours, no ReWire, and "Total Recall" of all editing of your project.
• Contains the same macros for Pitch and Time Correction as the major editions of Melodyne. These allow you to make your corrections in a fraction of the time they would otherwise take.
• With the new Version 1.1, further improved sound quality with monophonic material – the best-sounding Melodyne vocal editing of all time.
• Copy/Paste: You can now copy notes with complete freedom, even overlapping or superimposed – perfect for the creation of intervals and doubling.
• New zoom functions, local playback in Pro Tools and much more.

Also worthwhile and very attractive in terms of price is the upgrade to the more powerful Melodyne assistant.

If you registered your copy of Melodyne essential before the 1st June 2009, the update to Melodyne essential RTAS costs 59 US$ or 49 Euros. More attractive financially is the direct update to Melodyne assistant, as that only costs 149 US$ or 99 Euros – rather than the sum of the two updates. Naturally you can also update directly to Melodyne editor for 249 US$ or 249 Euros.

For all first registrations after the 1st June 2009, the update to Melodyne essential RTAS is free.

Melodyne assistant was newly developed from the ground up, is built on a modern and very powerful software infrastructure, and has a whole series of important advantages over Melodyne uno:

• Melodyne assistant can operate in stand-alone mode – or as a plug-in directly inside your DAW.
• With the new Version 1.1, further improved sound quality with monophonic material – the best-sounding Melodyne vocal editing of all time.
• Copy/Paste: You can now copy notes with complete freedom, even overlapping or superimposed – perfect for the creation of intervals and doubling!
• New zoom functions, automatable real-time parameters for pitch and formants, MIDI export in the stand-alone version and much more.

If you registered your copy of Melodyne uno before the 1st June 2009, the update to Melodyne assistant costs 79 US$ or 59 Euros. More attractive financially is the direct update to the more powerful Melodyne editor, as that costs only 129 US$ or 129 Euros. For all first registrations after the 1st June 2009, the update to Melodyne assistant is free.

Successor: Melodyne studio bundle

The Melodyne studio bundle offers you two important advantages over Melodyne cre8:

• With Melodyne studio 3, you can arrange with an unlimited number of tracks.
• You receive, in addition to Melodyne studio 3, the full version of Melodyne editor with DNA Direct Note Access: edit individual notes even in polyphonic audio material! As well as all this, the new Version 1.1 of Melodyne editor offers you the best-sounding Melodyne vocal editing of all time.

If you registered your copy of Melodyne cre8 before the 1st June 2009, the update to Melodyne studio costs 199 US$ or 199 Euros. For first registrations subsequent to the 1st June 2009, the update is free.

Melodyne studio bundle, when purchased after 16th November 2009, includes a free license of Melodyne editor. Log into your myCelemony account, there you will find a download link.

Before 16th November 2009, Melodyne studio was bundled with Melodyne plugin. If you have registered such a plug-in after 12th March 2008, you are also entitled to obtain a free upgrade to Melodyne editor. You will find a corresponding hint and instructions in the product overview of your myCelemony account.
