Discontinued products
With the introduction of the Direct Note Access technology we have refashioned the entire Melodyne product line.
The refashioning has, above all, two technical reasons. The foundations of the old programs had been getting on in years, so we decided to restructure them completely. The new software basis offers among things optimized multi-threading of which modern multi-core processors can take full advantage. It also allows many improvements in plug-in operation including a freely definable window size, auditioning during pitch editing, scrubbing and “Edit Play” – playback uncoupled from the host.
The consequences for older Melodyne editions are:
- Melodyne uno has a worthy successor in the shape of Melodyne assistant, the range of functions of which corresponds broadly with Melodyne editor (without DNA). More about Melodyne assistant ...
- The multi-track edition cre8 has been absorbed into Melodyne studio. More about Melodyne studio ...
- Melodyne plugin has been replaced by Melodyne editor. More about Melodyne editor ...
Naturally you can still continue using the old products. Please keep in mind, however, that there won't be any further updates and that your Melodyne might not run flawlessly with upcoming operating systems or hosts.
We are offering attractive upgrades to all existing Melodyne users. For customers who registered their program after June 1, 2009, the upgrades are even free of charge. More about the upgrades ...
