Your update options

Starting November 2009, you can upgrade from all previous editions of Melodyne to our new product line.

From early November on, we will refashion our product line. Melodyne uno, Melodyne cre8 and Melodyne plugin will be discontinued. They will be replaced by the more modern editions Melodyne editor and Melodyne assistant. Moreover, we will update Melodyne essential to Version 2.

As a registered Melodyne user you will be able to benefit from our update options from the launch date for Melodyne editor (scheduled for the beginning of November). The update price depends upon the date you first registered your previous product:

	For a free update from Melodyne plugin to Melodyne editor, the watershed is the 12th March 2008. For anyone with a Melodyne plugin registered after that date, the update is free.
	The watershed for all other Melodyne products is the 1st June 2009. All Melodyne products registered after that date will be updated free of charge to the corresponding successor product (essential to essential 2, uno to assistant, cre8 to studio).

Please bear in mind that no update can be purchased prior to the launch date, scheduled for the beginning of November. We will inform you, as a registered Melodyne user, in good time via e-mail.

Melodyne plugin

If you registered your copy of Melodyne plugin for the first time before the 12th March 2008, the update to Melodyne editor will cost 129 US$ or 129 Euros. For all first registrations after the 12th March 2008, the update will be free.

If your Melodyne plugin is part of a Melodyne studio bundle, the same conditions and prices apply.

Melodyne studio

As a registered user of Melodyne studio you may already download a free copy of Melodyne plugin. This Melodyne plugin can also be updated as described above. If you register your copy of Melodyne studio for the first time after the sales launch of Melodyne editor, you will automatically find a free download link to Melodyne editor in your myCelemony account.

Melodyne cre8

With the introduction of our new DNA technology we will be discontinuing the product Melodyne cre8 and offering all customers a simple upgrade to the larger Melodyne studio version inclusive of the new Melodyne editor.

If you registered your copy of Melodyne cre8 before the 1st June 2009, the update to Melodyne studio will cost 199 US$ or 199 Euros. For first registrations subsequent to the 1st June 2009, it will be free.

Melodyne uno

With the introduction of our new DNA technology, we will be replacing the Melodyne uno product with the more modern Melodyne assistant, which can be run either stand-alone or as a plug-in.

If you registered your copy of Melodyne uno before the 1st June 2009, the update to Melodyne assistant costs 79 US$ or 59 Euros. More attractive financially will be the direct update to Melodyne editor, as that will cost only 129 US$ or 129 Euros. For all first registrations after the 1st June 2009, the update to Melodyne assistant will be free.

Melodyne essential

For Melodyne essential, there will be a very interesting update to Melodyne essential 2 that at last brings Melodyne functionality to the convenient RTAS plug-in format.

If you registered your copy of Melodyne essential before the 1st June 2009, the update to Melodyne essential 2 costs 59 US$ or 49 Euros. More attractive financially will be the direct update to Melodyne assistant, as that only costs 149 US$ or 99 Euros – rather than the sum of the two updates. Naturally you can also update directly to Melodyne editor for 249 US$ or 249 €.

For all first registrations after the 1st June 2009, the update to Melodyne essential 2 is free.
