    Hi there,

I recently purchased Melodyne essential I seem to have a different grid view to that on your website and also to that on the quick start tutorial.
Each note (e.g A, #A, B etc) in your tutorial has a cell and the blob is situated in the middle of the cell when pitch is correct. I
n my view using Melodyne essential i have the same cell only i also have a grid line running through the middle of the note when the pitch is correct, can i get rid of this gridline as it gets confusing when trying to move a blob to the correct pitch as there are gridlines everywhere

thanks for any help that you can provide

    Pob

    Hello Pob,

That’s easy to fix. In the dropdown menu at the top of the pitch ruler, choose Scale Notes as your Pitch Background.

    Hi Claudio,
I have tried to set up the screen as you said when using Melodyne as a stand alone and also as a plug-in, however i don't seem to have those options when i use the drop down menu. I have attached a screen shot for illustration purposes.

    regards
    Pob

    Hello Pob,

have you perhaps tried the Melodyne editor Trial since you installed Melodyne essential, and played with its Pitch Background options? If so, please try trashing the Melodyne preferences file com.celemony.Melodyne singletrack.plist (with a capital M!) in Users/<your name>/Library/Preferences. Does this already make a difference?

If this doesn’t help, please contact our support team. They might need to ask you for further info.
