Is Melodyne studio the only product in which you can use the plugin on multiple tracks?

I've been using Melodyne essential, and if I need to fix more than one track, I'll just work on one at a time and bounce when I'm done, but it would be more convenient to be able to leave multiple plugins active in case I make a mistake.

I don't think I really need the more advanced features other than the simple pitch correction...

You can use your Essential plug-in simultaneously on as many tracks as you want. Only RAM and CPU eventually sets a limit. Even when you bounce to a new track, you can keep the original track muted and with the plug-in bypassed until your surely convinced you won't need to change it.

I think Assistant is worth the extra$. Reason being that a note sung out of tune often can be badly sung due to the singer trying to get in tune so the note can drift up or down and can also be to wobbly. (Use Pitch drift tool and Modulation tool) The amplitude tool is also often a good one since words can be to quiet or to loud and correcting it takes a second (and $100:)

Lol, so this whole time I've been bouncing tracks and thinking I can only have the plugin active on a single track at once??

    Hi gdgross,

long time ago Melodyne essential did work that way (you needed to rewire it to your DAW and could edit only one file at a time). But today you simply use it as a plug-in on as many tracks as you like. Make sure to have the latest version, which currently is 2.1.0.

    Best
    Stefan

What I think would be good is to have a main window. Every time, you open another instance of a Melodyne plug-in, it opens in that window. The data will squeeze together a lot tighter because you don't have to repeat all the regular info and you can get more tracks on your screen. :D

Also, you won't have to drag windows around, putting them right underneath each other - they will already be in alignment. This way you can work with harmonies because you can easily see the original melody. :P
