Hello, I transferred a vocal track over from protools to Melodyne, edited it already and want to keep it. However after I did this I realized I did not like a few individual words in the transferred edited vocal track. So how do I transfer only just the few words I want to, over from protools to Melodyne without having the transfer causing overlapping of other words over the already transferred, edited, track that is in Melodyne already.
I end up getting overlapping of some words from the new transfer over the some of the words I do not want replaced in the vocal track that already exists in Melodyne.
Thanks Much.

Hello,
first you should check how far you can get with the Reset commands in the Edit menu. If this doesn't help and you really need a new transfer, there is no other way than setting the SPL exactly at the time position that you want the re-transfer to start and trigger a new transfer.

Your company really really really needs a punch in and out feature in Melodyne. Often I will TRY to fix a note, and after hearing what Melodyne can do to help, I may still decide to re-sing. After re-singing, sometime I only want a word or two to be brought back into Melodyne for additional pitching. As the program stands now, it is very UN user friendly in this area, with the sampling of new audio being brought into a pre existing Melodyne file a very IN accurate and sometime destructive process, ruining pre existing work.
I don;t want to bounce to disk, I don;t want other work arounds, I just want an accurate way to punch in new audio into a pre existing Melodyne plug in. This is very very needed in the REAL world of audio production. It almost shows a disconnect between Melodyne programmers and the real needs of audio production. Not to take anything away from how wonderful this product is, but this is a major oversight.
