    Greetings.

I have been using the new 99 upgrade to Melodyne in the new version of Studio One Pro, loving it and it works great.

However, I have been trying to learn Logic Pro. I have the latest version on OS 10.6.8 on my Mac 2.66 Quad Core with 12 gig of ram, working in 64 bit mode.

Set up Logic, 15 tracks of audio, 4 minutes long, put Melodyne on the Insert slot (top one) on 6 of the audio tracks. I go through the 6 windows and hit TRANSFER.
Play the song, hit stop and I have had few favorable results.

    1) One time, after all the audio from the 6 tracks transferred, I tried to work in Melodyne to do some tuning, and I received a message OUT OF MEMORY in Logic. I could go no further, and the program basically refused to do anything else. Had to force quit.

    2) Tried again, same 6 tracks, 4 minutes of audio, TRANSFER, then I get all 6 of the Melodyne windows FROZEN, the little clock emblem showed like it was going to transfer, but NO GO. Logic would operate, but Melodyne was frozen.

Where to go from here? Are Melodyne and Logic no longer compatible with each other? Melodyne works fine in Studio One pro, in fact I can use it in 32 bit, low buffer setting and it works great.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Rich

    Hello Rich,

welcome to our forum. As you can see on our compatibility page, Logic 9 is still listed as a compatible DAW.

The message clearly says that you are running out of memory. You might want to look into that first. See also our tips on optimizing Melodyne's performance.
