Melodyne editor
|
|
Hey there,
I'm using Melodyne Editor and have had total success using it on vocals and lead/bass guitar. I'm running into some problems using it on rhythm guitars though...it's not giving me any blobs...its just giving me A LOT of specks and just crazy lines. When I play it back, it sounds correct...just looks like a total mess.
I've watched the Melodyne electric guitar tutorial on youtube, I am using a clean guitar track then running it into Melodyne editor then running it in an amp sim, which is exactly what they said to do in the tutorial. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong (or if a setting is wrong) that I'm not getting any blobs at all. (ive double checked to make sure its in polyphonic as well).
I've noticed if I go into melodic, it does detect the correct chord notes, A will be A, B will be B, so that just confuses me even more since Melodyne can seem to figure out the chords but not separate them?
If you need a pic I can screen cap it but I'm sure you guys know what I'm referring to when I say specks and whatnot...
Any help would be appreciated!

Hello PrettyArcade,
Are you sure Melodyne hasn’t detected your audio material as percussive? Is this a clean or a distorted guitar sound? Any reverb or other effects on it? Or perhaps you have recorded your guitar at a very low level (in which case the slider in the bottom right corner of the Melodyne window will help)?
Yes, please upload a screenshot, a sound example or even a short video to illustrate the problem. Thanks.
