    Melodyne essential
I want to set up an audio track in Ableton Live 8 that connects to Melodyne Studio using ReWire.

I want to use this track for recording and working with vocals, which I wish to edit in Melodyne Studio in a natural workflow together with context of the other tracks I'm using in Live.

The ReWire connection between Live and Melodyne starts up fine. Also, when I start and stop Live, Melodyne Studio starts and stops as expected in sync with Live. The issue I have is that I can get no sound from the mic and I that can get no vocal recording into Melodyne Studio. In other words, audio does not seem to flow back and forth through ReWire.

    I'm following this guide: http://www.celemony.com/cms/index.php?id=142&L=0

    My set up is:
    - Melodyne Studio 3.2.2.2
    - Ableton Live 8.1.1
    - Windows 7 - x64
    - Sound device: MOTU UltraLite mk3 - hybrid

    Hello,

if you run Melodyne studio as Rewire client, you can't record in the software. It accesses the same hardware as Live.
You would need to do recording:
    a. either in stand-alone-mode
    b. in Live and then
    - use the MelodyneBridge to transfer into Melodyne studio
    - export from Live and administrate/edit the files in Melodyne studio.

    Hope this helps, Ulf

    It sure does. Thanks.

I was kinda coming to the same conclusion myself, but thanks for verifying.
