    Melodyne studio
I have been using Melodyne DNA and now am at a studio with Studio installed. I use Logic 9 and Im having issues with the transport/sync/slave.

    1. I hit play on Logic, Melodyne studio does not play. Where can I find these preferences as Midi Sync does not appear to be the place to adjust this. DNA synced automatically. Does Melodyne Studio have to be inserted via Rewire, and if so - can someone outline the proper configuration? I have been putting it in as the top plug in on an audio track.

    2. Im also not hearing any audio when I click play directly on the transport (although it appears to only play the very beginning of the arrangement)

    3. Lastly, I dont understand how to transfer in audio directly from a Logic track via the routing. With DNA, it was simply a question of hitting the transfer button. But Studio has multiple tracks and Im unclear on the linking with Logic and what correlates to each track or how to configure.

    Thanks

    Hello,

as a Melodyne editor user you are probably not familiar with the concept of the MelodyneBridge in Melodyne studio. You need to insert the MelodyneBridge plugin in Logic which should open a Melodyne arrangement. Then in the Bridge plugin panel, route the Logic tracks to the Melodyne tracks and switch to transfer. Read more about the MelodyneBridge in the manual.

    Melodyne studio
Thanks. I now understand that you put Melodyne studio on each track you intend to edit, route them to the appropriate studio track and transfer. Great!

    The new issues are twofold

    1. While the audio is synced with logic in real time playback, the editor and arrangement in studio does not scroll at the same speed. It appears to "look ahead" and stays a few beats in front of where the playhead is. Is that intentional?

    2. When I'm manipulating blobs/notes in the editor in real time (not in playback, stationary mode) within the bridged plug in I can't hear any of the real time edits as I move them

In essence, this combination is making it impossible to actually edit within the framework of the logic session, if tht makes sense.

Studio on it's own seems to work seamlessly, but the integration is a bit strange. Should I be in rewire mode instead of bridge?

    Thanks

    Hi projectmk,

When Melodyne is running in Bridge Mode go to Preferences/Bridge and try to compensate for this optical issue with the slider "Host latency"

Again in Preferences try if "Use hardware when playing back asynchronously" helps. This works with most current audio drivers, but probably not with all. Which driver do you use?

    Best
