    :(

I feel the ReWire features in Editor ver. 2 were marketed on the false premise- multiple instances of the product announcement were accompanied by the statement that ReWire functionality would allow it to be used with Reason, yet, it does not function as a host and therefore is useless with Reason- or am I missing something? Has anyone got the info to make me not annoyed by this purchase that was made BECAUSE of that statement?

Granted, Melodyne Editor is a great tool and I am not going to abandon it because of this- but I am a little pissed. Not gonna lie. If there isn't some control I am overlooking, do Celemony devs have some intention of addressing this- or could you guys at least get your marketing language in sync with what your product does?

Any help at all would be appreciated.

    Hello lonelypaul,

Melodyne editor has never been intented run as a Rewire host. It is a single track software (unlike Melodyne studio) and therefore has no mixing engine.
Reason 6 itself can surprisingly only run as a Rewire client.
The useful scenario would be to rewire Melodyne editor into Reason's SSL emulated console, wouldn't it?

Yeah. The SSL emu plus Melodyne with my preamp would basically be the dream chain. Sigh.
