PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can Melodyne see the return of "Spot to Pro Tools"??!!!

I waste valuable time having to relink all of my Melodyne'd audio files in PT because when Melodyne overwrites the audio file, it scrubs the unique identifier.

Spot to Pro Tools was such a great feature of Uno that is greatly missed.

    Hello Dave,

welcome to the Forum. Why not use Melodyne as an RTAS plugin and keep all the files within your project?

    Hi,

    thanks for the welcome.

ATM I am using it as a plug in and I enjoy the integration, but I would like to be able to make a master track rather than run it through the plug in. For example - I have to submit some sessions for a Degree but the Degree marker won't have Melodyne so I have to manually bounce from the main comp track to a new track. Similarly if I want to send the session elsewhere for someone else to track to.

While I do enjoy the new features, I did particularly find the Spot to Pro Tools feature very very useful and I miss it greatly.

Unless there's a way to extract the audio from the plug in inside Pro Tools without having to leave the environment - it seems quite obvious to add a "Render" or "Bounce" button to commit my edits to disk.

Unless there's something I'm missing something in the manual - it does say somewhere that the files are written to a folder within the program directory but it doesn't make it obvious if I can easily extract in and commit it to my PT session.

    Hello Dave,

there is a folder where the transfers are stored but these files are not meant to be used. The way to get your edits out is the bounce function.

A Pro Tools Bounce of course. It is just like as if you would want to fix another plugin.
