Melodyne used to work great until I updated to Pro Tools 10.3.6
I am not sure if this is the real reason it is not working but that is the only change I have made.
The plugin freezes as it starts to process (after I hit the spacebar to stop audio transfrer). Which also crashes the whole session.
I have trashed preferences but the problems still exists.
My melodyne is up to date also.

    Hello Johnny,

So this is Melodyne editor 2.1? Could you please doublecheck? Which OS have you got? How much RAM? What do the CPU load and memory usage look like in Activtity Monitor or TaskManager respectively? Does this happen in all your projects or just a particular one?

    See also these tips.

    Yes it is editor 2.1
My OS is Mac OS X 10.7.5
    16 Gigs of RAM

I tried Melodyne in some other songs and it is working good there. It looks like it is only happening on this particular session.

Then please check your Activity Monitor. Do you see anything funny there when your session crashes? Also, what’s different in this particular PT session? Any memory-hungry plug-ins, samplers, lots of tracks, etc.? See also the working strategies tips in my link above. Do they help?

    Melodyne studio
    I'm having the same issues.

Two mono audio tracks, one stereo audio track and one mono aux track with rewire on it.

    osx 10.8.4, 32 gb ram, pt10hd 10.3.6 Melodyne Studio 3.2.2.2.

No other plugs or processes running.

Clips no longer than 12-15 seconds, one clip at a time then clearing melodyne after each tune and re-record back to a new audio track. I get one or two clips done then it starts glitching badly at the begining of recording back into pt. Playing from melodyne window is fine. Occasionally the timing speeds up and goes out of synch with original. Sometimes cannot enter into 'tuning' mode in melodyne unless I use the Correct Pitch from the Edit menu.

All of these things require a restart of pt and melodyne.

Supremely frustrating as I agreed to do an albums worth of work this weekend. I cannot roll back to PT10.3.5 because I have pt11 installed as well and am doing testing for some devs..

Has anyone found a workaround yet?

    Thanks.

    Hello DannyAnderson,

I’m not sure if this is related to the issue that Johnny described above. He is using Melodyne editor, while you are using Melodyne studio. In your case, please try decreasing the count of RTAS processors: in Pro Tools, go to Setup > Playback engine and set it to at least one processor less than the maximum. This will free up some CPU power for Melodyne.

If this doesn't help, please contact our support team. Thanks.
