    Hi all,

Im running Melodyne Singletrack as a plugin from Logic Pro 9 on a MB pro 2,2 i7 with 8gb ram OSX 10.6.8
My problem is that when I succeed in using Melodyne on a part of a vocal track ( eg. bar 100 to 103 ) the vocal will turn op in another bar sometimes...like offset to the bar-ruler.

I also tried to capture some vocals from bar no. 50 but Melodyne doesn't show bars beneath 76 or so. What am I doing wrong?

    Best regards
    Ricki

    Hello Ricki,

Does your song perhaps have tempo changes? Then please see this video.

Also, make sure that Melodyne is in the first insert slot of your audio channel. Otherwise it might be affected by some other plug-in’s latency compensation.

    Hi,

Thank you for your quick response. I do have one other plugin on each vocal channelstrip, but only on one of the channels is the other plug set before the Melodyne.
I do actually have tempochanges in my song, but the offset on the different tracks are random. If they were caused by tempochanges, I would expect the discrepancies to be the same on each track, as the vocal parts are in the same position ( bar ) on every track.

Furthermore I did not get a warning from Melodyne suggesting that I should be aware of tempochanges, as your video tutorial showed - which leads me to the conclusion that that might not be the problem.

    Hope you can help,

    best regards - Ricki

Just to eliminate a possible source of problem, see if you usually have a loop active in Logic? If you do, turn it off to check cause M-Editor sometimes doesn't turn around @ loop-end but continue playing on internally. So if you later start Logic's playback by clicking in the bar-ruler, Melodyne might sometimes play visibly out of sync but the audio plays correct. Ex. if you have a 4 bar loop Melodyne might play a 4 bar loop but is counting from where you start playback by using Logic's bar-ruler. Might not be your problem but you can easily checked it by turning any active loop off.
