    Hi all

I have just upgraded to the cubase 6 from 5. I am trying to put all my plugins within the same folder which will make things much easier to manage as I move forward in Cubase 6,

The current path for the Melodyne editor VST plugin is celemony/Melodyne editor/vst plugins. I would like to move it to the folder steinberg/vst plugins

Can I just copy the dll file to that folder??

What about when I do updates?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello,

the safest thing would be to uninstall and set the folders while reinstalling. However, moving the files will also work.

If I just move the files. When I update to a new version will I be prompted where to put the VST plugin?

I'd say uninstall and reinstall. It's safer to track the paths for the installer/uninstallers.
