My Essential version is 1.2. I import one vocal track at a time into the standalone.
On playback I've noticed that my audio runs a second or two behind the "blob" which is being scanned.

Is there an adjustment I can make to take care of this visual/audio latency? I do not have ASIO on my computer, I use MME, and WINXP

yes, the delay is due to the wrong audio driver. Our system requirements list an ASIO-compatible audio hardware. If you don't have one available, you could try if your system can benefit from ASIO4All.
