    Hi

I wanted to demo Melodyne after hearing much good things about it :)

Seems to install fine (although I cannot decide where to install it, is that serious ?!), but when I run it, I have a delay between visuals and audio out.

So I went to the preferences, hoping to change something (switching to asio or something), and bam, instant ctd.
Tried again, same result each time, as soon as I click on the "audio" tab, Melodyne vanishes.

I'm using Windows Xp Sp3, Nvidia Gf9500gt, M-audio fast track soundcard.

    Any help welcome.

    Cheers

    Hello geoslake,

is this the Melodyne editor Trial? Are you having this issue with the stand-alone program or the plug-in?

Yes, you should use the ASIO driver, if possible. If the system crashes upon switching to ASIO, have you got any other audio program open at the same time?

    Hi claudio

Yes its the trial, standalone version (didnt try the vst).
There's no other program running, and anyway I cannot even see the audio setting screen, Melodyne crashes as soon as i click on the audio tab.
Is there any windows service or something which could be required to display it? (Like a specific font, etc).

Please note that zoom and scroll are also awfully sluggish.

I tried to update my nvidia drivers just in case but it didn't help.
    Even tried with directdraw disabled.

    Hello geoslake,

Could you please find us a crash log and send it to bugreport AT celemony DOT com? See also here.

I wish I could, but there's no such Celemony folder at all, in my temp folder :(

There IS a "log" folder in my local user\appdata\Celemony Software GmbH folder, but it's empty.

Could you tell me if Melodyne needs something specific from windows (like paging file etc) ?

    Hi geoslake,

    sorry for the late reply.

If this is really the stand-alone version and you can't find the folder, then perhaps it is hidden in your system's default settings? Could you please contact our support team and send them some info on your system configuration? Thanks.
