Whenever I adjust the pitch in Melodyne I get "click" and "pop" artifacts in the .wav file.
I'm using Melodyne Editor 1.2.1 64-bit as a standalone app on two different Windows 7 computers. Sample rate is 192, resolution is 32, cache is 50GB, buffer is set to 8192.
Any ideas what the problem could be and how to resolve it?
thanks, Marcello

Hello Marcello,
Which audio hardware and drivers do you use? Have you set them properly in the Melodyne preferences? Is there some other (audio) application running while you are working with Melodyne?

Hi Claudio,
I'm using the Focusrite USB 2.0 Audio Driver on both computers. I also tried using the Windows Direct X sound driver and got the same result.
I'm not running any additional software when using Melodyne. The "Correct Pitch" and "Quantize Time" functions work fine. It's only when the entire melody is shifted up or down that the clicks and pops appear.
thanks, Marcello

Hello Marcello,
Please doublecheck in Melodyne’s preferences panel, if you are really using the ASIO drivers. Also, have you checked Melodyne’s audio detection before you start editing? If there are incorrect or too many note separations, for example, you might end up with artefacts here and there.
If this doesn’t help, could you please upload a sound snippet that demonstrates the problem?
