    Hello,

I just purchased Melodyne Assistant, but I am unable to download the program. A download screen is letting me know it will assemble a personal installation program and this will take 30 seconds. It has now been showing for 30 minutes without proceeding to download.

What do I need to do to be able to download the program? I am using Internet Explorer 7 on Windows XP.

    Thanks,
    Hans

I have now also tried to download on a Windows 7 computer with IE8 and the Melodyne download still hangs at the window asking me to wait 30 seconds while a personalized installer is created.

I thought I'd work with the software today, but the support must be closed at this time in Europe. Anyone knows how to download?

    Thanks,
    Hans

    Hello Hans,

Sorry for the troubles. I have heard that you managed to download the software now.

Yes, but not on any of my studio computers (XP and W7). I am still looking for advice on what the requirements are to download on Windows computers with IE. I have now received emails from Celemony support indicating that IE9 is required, (or Safari browser).

Maybe someone here knows what it takes to download on IE8?
    Thanks,
    Hans

    Hello Hans.

I don't think they meant this as a requirement. They probably just suggested to try a different browser to see if this is the problem.

I can't remember anyone else having troubles in the past when downloading Melodyne with IE 7 or 8. So I would not say this is a general incompatibility issue. By the way, have you tried another download since? It might as well just have been some temporary server hick-up.

FireFox users need not apply. I tried several times to update through the Preferences option in the program and also on the Celemony website. I finally logged onto the site using IE8 (with Windows 7) and the download started right away and ran without any hitches.

    Hello dcloud,

I’m sorry for the inconvenience. Again, this can’t be a general incompatibility issue, since personally I can do all my updates with Firefox (on both Mac and PC) without any problems. ;) You might have some different browser settings or add-ons that keep your Firefox from working properly. Anyway, I’m glad to hear that you already managed to download your update.
