    Melodyne essential
Hello there. This is my first post, so be gentle with me...! I really want to start using Melodyne Essential V2, but am a bit confused. Several UK suppliers say it will work with Mac OS10.4.11, but when I tried to install the free demo (from the Celemony home page) it said it would not install. Now, is this just a problem with the free demo? If I go ahead and purchase MEV2 will it work with my Mac operating system? I certainly hope so... I know I should update my OS, but I tried installing Snow Leopard and booting from a flash drive and it left everything in a terrible mess - I couldn't even track down any of my Cubase files, so I went back to 10.4.11 so I could get on with my life! Many thanks, anyone who can help, or who is, ideally, using MEV2 on their 10.4.11 Mac. Cheers.

    Hello micksharp,

The system requirements on this page should make it clear: for the current version of Melodyne essential you need Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later.

So, if updating your OS is not an option yet, perhaps you can find a used copy of Melodyne essential Version 1?

Thanks for the swift reply, Claudio.

I've tried to track down a used V1.x but they seem to be as rare as the proverbial rocking horse stuff...

Perhaps if anyone out there has any ideas about tracking one down I'd be grateful.

    Regards.
