Hello Nick,
is your computer connected to the internet? Have you got a Firewall running? Or some Antivirus program that might block the activation assistant? Can you temporarily deactivate them and try again? If none of this helps, please contact registration AT celemony DOT com.

Hello!
Similar problem here trying to activate Editor 2.0.1. There have been a few bumps along the way.
I'm running Windows 7 / 64-bit. I have also updated my iLok drivers.
The first problem was downloading the update. The zip file *appeared* to be OK (114MB), but Windows said it was "empty" and wouldn't extract. A subsequent download was fine and I was able to extract the files.
The install seemed to work fine until I launched Melodyne. The "Welcome to Melodyne" box comes up, but fails to activate.
A partially working version of comes up. Help/About shows I am running "Melodyne Playback-Mode 2.0.1 (64-bit)".
Firewall is turned off, as is UAC during all this.
Thoughts?
<< EDIT 12-Dec-2011 >>
For the sake of completeness I have to admit that the problem I had was self-inflicted.
Everything is good now.
Many thanks to tech support for pointing me in the right direction!

Activation problem here too - clicked to activate and nothing happened. Tried to activate manually and received error message saying my new passcode I just paid for & received was old.... what the hell? Uninstalled and reinstalled; then automatic activation worked.

Trial version of Editor 2 is not working ... It keeps defaulting to "PlayBack Mode"
When I try to enter the Trial # it tells me ...
"This is the serial number of a wrong product."
What's Up? :o)

Hello guys,
yes, iLok users definitely need to check their iLok account. There should be a new "editor version 2" license available for you. This is the one you need.
Please let us know, if that solves your problem.
@Michael: Not sure what you mean by the "Trial #". You shouldn't need to enter a serial number to try our the trial. But again, please contact us by e-mail for any activation problems that involves your serial number.

Hi everybody,
how do i need to configure my firewall in Windows 7 to run Melodyne trial? Just allowing the main exe file does not seem to work. It needs a dedicated firewall rule. I do not like to turn my firewall off and on globally.
Thanks,
Mario

Hello MArio,
I've heard that you are already in contact with our e-mail support about this.

Claudio,
yes, that is right, but there is no solution (yet), which I can not believe. Obviously, there are others with a similar problem. Maybe the forum knows more.
I'm working with a standard Win7 and have closed the internal firewall pretty well.
At first, I suspected that the Melodyne trial validation process is using an Internet Explorer (IE) channel or module for internet access. So, I allowed IE along with my Firefox to access the internet. Also, the Melodyne EXE file was allowed internet access in the firewall settings. Still, the validation process only works when I completely open the firewall. And that's not really an option for obvious security reasons.
I'd very much appreciate any help out there.
Thanks,
Mario
