    Melodyne editor
Gentlemen, I purchased Melodyne Editor w DNA several weeks ago. My DAW is Cubase 5.0 which works well but part of the reason I bought the CB 5 was for pitch correcting. They call it VarioAudio. After messing with that for several weeks ago I began to accept the truth that you get what you pay for. It just didn't cut it. I ve been messing around with pitch correction since and it just doesn't work well. Too many aritfacts, no amplitude modification. Any way the point is the Melodyne has worked well, and thankfully was user friendly unlike Cubase. And this forum is friendly. I don't understand the arrogence of cubase.net. So heres to a happy working relationship

    Melodyne plugin
I understand what you mean. Years ago before they were purchased by Yamaha they had a pitch correction plugin they were promoting. Ofcourse the plugin was created by Yamaha. It didi not work very well. Now they had their own pitch correction plugin which was very decent on instruments. I think a comination of this has filtered over into Cubase 5. One thing i must say though; when it comes to vocals i found it good to transpose in very small increments. Not just immediately jump a third or fifth etc. If you try that you will get great results most of the time. Yet we have to give credit were credit is due. Melodyne is phenominal. Just simply amazing. Yes it is true there are no secrets you do get what you pay for 99% of the time.
