I'm wondering how many tracks I can use simultaneously with Melodyne Bridge...... 8 is the maximum?

8 is not the maximum. The bridge shows you 8 tracks as a default but you can add more in Melodyne Studio, File menu>insert empty tracks and they will show up in the bridge.

    Hello,

I'm afraid this is only half the truth. ;) You can have more than eight tracks in Melodyne studio, but if you are asking for a simultaneous use with the MelodyneBridge, you need to consider technical limitations. See our FAQ > ReWire and MelodyneBridge > How many channels can be transmitted via the MelodyneBridge?

I read the FAQ. I'd say it's an important clarification. I mainly wanted to know if I could add other tracks, over the default eight, but it's important to know that I have to pay attention to use maximum 8 simultaneously in Real Time, cause otherwise I could encounter performance problems..
    Thanks Claudio

Excuse me, but I don't understand well.. I get the impression that in this way there's anyway only One Melodyne instance, connected by Bridge to Logic, which manages 15 tracks. So, what does it change?
And I don't even understand when you say "Activate channels 1 to 8 in the bridge".. I usually activate one channel per bridge instance, and each bridge is opened for each track. I effectively see that a bridge instance can activate all channels simultaneously, but I can't realize what's its use..

Excuse me if I am slow on the uptake... :)
but it escapes me the way to simultaneously transfer more tracks with only one bridge instance :?:
If I have, say, 8 tracks to transfer and I open a single Bridge instance on a track, how can I transfer the others?

You need to have 1 instance per track and set the Melodyne bridge number for each one 1-8.

Each bridge instance must have activated all channels? And where have I to click "transfer" button? On whatever instance?

I open instances on the logic-tracks and set a bridge-number per track and also press the transfer-button and so make a stack of bridge-windows. Then I hit playback and transfer them.

and how to get the 'transfer/playback-button' to live inside the Melodyne Bridge drop-down menu so I only need to open one bridge

So, at present you're using same way of mine: one bridge instance per track....

Yes, your way is the right way. I would prefer a condensed, expandable bridge window that includes transfer-buttons for the activated tracks.

    Hello guys,

wow, there seems to be some confusion about how to use the MelodyneBridge. If you are still unsure, please see chapter 07-01 in your manual, where we have described everything in detail.

Yes this soon became experimental.) My result is that 15 tracks is the limit for simultaneous bridge-transfer with Logic. If you want to test it, this is what I do. I start Logic and create 15 audiotracks then start Melodyne Studio with an 8 track arr and while having track 8 selected I add 7 more tracks utilizing 'insert empty tracks' below the selected track. All channels will show up in the MelodyneBridge with normal count# 1 to 15. I save the Studio arrangement.

Insert a bridge on each Logic track and set bridge numbers 1 to 15.
(I have actually made a Logic autoload/template with 15 Melodyne bridges in by-pass mode for ease of use.) When I activate transfer all 15 tracks are being transferred simultaneously into Studio on their appropriate Studio tracks #1-15 very nice. 15 tracks is the limit (16 doesn't work). Having MelodyneBridge preloaded as first instance on every track is quite handy sometimes so I will use it more often because of this. Maybe it's not the right method theoretically but it sure works in reality.
