Everything works except the transport linking between the 2 programs. I can hear Melodyne manipulating an audio track in pro tools, however, I cannot control any transport function in Melodyne. only pro tools. in other words, when i press space in Melodyne, nothing happens. when i press space in pro tools thats when i have to use command+tab very quickly so that i can even see the transport move in Melodyne so that i can make changes. Is it at all possible for me to press space in Melodyne so that when i press it, pro tools transport begins moving?

Perhaps you could let me know ...same issue I use the bridge in a PT 7.4.2 session...all seems ok but no sync with tools (no backing tracks from protools) and no transport control unless im in Melodyne .....and selecting " playback arrangement" makes no difference?

Hi Seb,
please do not mix the two different ways of connecting Melodyne studio with Pro Tools (or any other DAW)
ReWire allows transport control from either the host DAW or Melodyne studio, starting both applications in sync. But no transfer of audio into Melodyne. The audio from the DAW has to be exported and imported into Melodyne studio.
MelodyneBridge allows synchronized playback when the transport is used inside your DAW. If you are working locally in Melodyne studio, the host DAW does not play. MelodyneBridge has the advantage of direct transfer of audio from the host DAW into Melodyne studio.

OK Months on from my post...still wont work ..here is the thing, I insert Bridge on a track I then hit transfer...sometimes Melodyne will not open automatically ...sometimes it will...random??? then transport it totally rubbish if i hit play in protools Melodyne stops....if i hit stop in protools Melodyne starts...and once started nothing can stop playback in Melodyne, how the hell am i supposed to work with it like this??? its a nightmare !!!! can someone please give me some idea what the hell is wrong for £700???? It never works the same way...it behaves in a random manner sometimes the transfer of audio works, other times not! i have never been able to hear my Protools session in the background of Melodyne while working on a vocal i always have to switch back to PT to check the work that is being done and that is rubbish!!!! ...and the transport issue....drives me nuts am i the only guy with this problem???

Hi,
the not opening of Melodyne happens if it was already open connected to Pro Tools before.
The inverse transport behaviour is indeed strange and we never had a report like this. Please make sure that you have the following settings in Pro Tools Setup>Playback Engine dialog:
HW buffer size: 1024 samples Number for RTAS processors: (one or two less than the displayed maximum)
As Claudio wrote: Please tell us you exact Melodyne version number.
