Melodyne Editor crashes Sonar X1 after pitch correction of polyphonic data. Converts beautifully, but if I try to save my project, both Sonar and Editor stop responding.
    This happens consistently...

I am using Sonar X1 64bit on Windows 7. Installed Editor as 64bit.

I love how the product works. It's fantastic. Just not stable. (at least for me)
    Thanks in advance...

    Dennis

    UPDATE:
Found the problem. My DAW was pointing to the 32bit version.

Now it's time to start having Fun.

    Thanks,

    Dennis

I have Melodyne Editor crashing all of my DAW software now. Version 1.2.1 and any other recent updates just haven't been stable. This appears to happen pretty consistently but seemingly at random. Polyphonic mode seems a bit more problematic, but the others crash it almost as much.

This is happening for me in Sonar 8.5.3, Sonar X1B, Pro Tools 9, Ableton Live 8.2.1, and even in the standalone editor. I love Melodyne for its flexibility and find it sounds more natural than other tuning products I've tried, but I've just about given up. I can't use a product that continually crashes and even pretend to be productive.

Are you using Melodyne Editor on a 64 or 32 bit system?... I had crashes all the time until I found that I was loading the 32bit code instead of the 64bit code... I was pointing to my install in "Program Files x86" instead of "Program Files"... This seemed to correct my problem...

On my PC it's a 32-bit system. On my Mac it's 64-bit. The Melodyne app/plugin crash on both for me.

    Hello tunekicker,

please let us know more details. What are your system specs? How much RAM have you got? What is your Windows OS, what is your Mac OS?

This is strange. Have you set your audio buffer size to 1,024 samples? Do you have all these DAWs on both PC and Mac? Or what are the exact combinations? Do you get any error message? What are your CPU and memory load when it crashes (see Activity Monitor on Mac, Task Manager on PC)?

Since this is a Sonar thread, are you aware that we recommend the 64-bit version of both Sonar and Melodyne? Please see also the Sonar tips on this page.
