    Hey,

    1. edited some material
    2. moved to new computer, didnt backup the melodyne-transfer-files
    3. is there a way to apply my edits when i do new transfer-files?

I think its not possible but it feels "so close" if you have your vocal track, plus the Melodyne plugin, also with all the edits and changes stored in it, but it looks like you cant put them back together this way.
Is there a possibility to transfer that vocal track again and then copy paste the edits/changes like they were done before?

    thanks

    Hello bga86,

welcome to the forum. If the transfer files are gone, you will need to do the job again unfortunately.

I can't honestly understand why this couldn't be changed. It causes much pain for those who run into it. There might be bits I'm not aware of but I understand it like this: edits are associated with transfers so when the transfers are gone, edits can't be used. Transfer-files are simple re-recordings of the original file. Transfer-files are never being edited in anyway. Therefor when a file is missing a dialog should come up: "Transferred files can't be found, would you like to re-transfer from source file?" Click yes and press the Transfer-button. It then re-records from start and stop points according to the time-line inside the plug-in and are given unique names. A dialog asks: "Would you like to re-name the new transfers with the names of the missing files?" Click yes. The new transfers are re-named like the missing ones, blobs appears solid again and all your hours of edits are happily applied since the files now exists. You shouldn't have to risk losing hours or even days of work.

The specific project is known, transfers start and stop points are known too, original source-file is known, edits in the hidden plug-in .mpd are known. Everything you need is still there. All you have to do is press the Transfer-button and re-transfer.
