Melodyne essential
|
|
Hi! I have noticed in the past few weeks that my normal method of working with Melodyne does not render a 'fixed' vocal anymore. I assume it began taking place when I upgraded Sonar to the latest X1d version, but I can't confirm 100% due to not using Melodyne much in the project I am finishing up.
I usually insert Melodyne on a clip's FX Bin, then do the work, then bounce-to-clip. So I'm left with the fixed vocal. Worked for years. Now I do this, and am left with the original vocal.
I have also tried freezing the entire track with Melodyne in the track's FX Bin. No luck. I also tried to bounce to new clip in Sonar, no luck either.
Does anyone have any guidance? I will gladly give any info I can to get this vital tool working again!!

Hi Fooman - the only way I can get it to work is to have fast bounce unchecked. It's no big deal if you are working with short clips. Melodyne is still crashiing my DAW though - Celemony need to sort this out.

thanks!!
Update: Sonar x1d has issues bouncing time-based FX. So this is ALSO a Sonar issue, along with the apparent memory-leak issue from Melodyne (it doesn't crash my DAW lately... knock on wood).
