Version 4.2.4 makes Melodyne compatible with macOS Catalina
Melodyne 4.2.4 has just been released and is compatible with Apple’s new operating system, macOS 10.15 Catalina, but older versions of Melodyne are not. Here we explain what you need to know on the subject.
Catalina brings far-reaching technical changes that also affect DAWs, plug-ins and hardware drivers, so many manufacturers will have to adapt their software to Catalina, otherwise it may be impossible to install or even use it.
All editions (essential, assistant, editor and studio) of the new Melodyne version 4.2.4 have already been adapted to Catalina and are compatible with it. As a Melodyne 4 user, you can download the free update in your user account. However, you have to make sure that your DAW and all the required drivers have also been cleared to run under Catalina.
Older versions of Melodyne
Melodyne studio 3 as well as versions 1 and 2 of Melodyne editor, assistant and essential are not compatible with the changes introduced by macOS Catalina and can therefore not be used with the new operating system. Therefore, we offer customers with older versions the update to Melodyne 4 free of charge or at a special price.
The update to Melodyne assistant and essential 4.2.4 can be downloaded free of charge from your user account and only takes a few minutes to install.
The update to Melodyne studio and editor 4.2.4 can be obtained fast and without complications from our web shop – at the special price of only 49 €/US$.
