Originally from New York, Ted Perlman now lives in L.A. and produced, played guitar, arranged, recorded, and toured with major artists like Whitney Houston, Harry Belafonte, Bob Dylan, Diana Ross, Burt Bacharach, Joe Cocker, and Chicago. All this has made him proficient in a variety of musical styles – R&B, Rock, Hip-Hop, Soul, Classical, Pop, Latin, Rap, Country, and World Music.
Ted has conducted, played guitar, and arranged music for NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, and others. He arranged, programmed, and recorded three songs for the Adam Sandler movie I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry. Ted composed the score for the ABC show World Stunt Awards. He also writes for music magazines (e.g. Computer Music).
He programmed, arranged, and recorded the Top 5 platinum selling UK singles “Paradise” and “I Think I Love You” for Kaci. He produced and wrote the #1 CD Livin' On Love for Peggi Blu. Ted recently won a Grammy for his work on At This Time by Burt Bacharach. On New Music From An Old Friend, Ted played the guitar solo on Brian Wilson’s “What Love Can Do” and co-produced “Still Remember” with Burt Bacharach. He mixed the version of “Everybody Loves Somebody” by The 5 Browns, which also went #1.
